DTM26 gives me, for the first time in a long time, the feeling that 'yes, we can make it'. The calibre is high: lots of engineering ideas, deep tech know-how, and it's very diverse, with lots of women, which made me feel good. What surprised me most was the role of defence and the enthusiasm with which people embraced it—I hadn't seen that before, certainly not when I was in office, and it's important that it's changing.
