• Startups: Europe’s top 100 pre-seed or seed-stage Deep Tech startup teams looking to get funded by VCs, find co-founders or hire talent, and meet industry experts and mentors. 
• Joiners: Deep Tech enthusiasts with technical or business expertise and an interest in co-founding or joining a Deep Tech startup as an early employee. 
• Investors: 40+ top Deep Tech-focused investors and 10+ corporate partners interested in deal flow in the pre-seed phase.

Startups and Joiners are asked to first fill out a short application form including relevant links like website, LinkedIn, and pitch deck (if applicable).  After a diligent and quick screening process from the Deep Tech Momentum team, startups and joiners will be informed via email if they are invited to join DTM.

We will provide a full schedule to all participants after confirming their attendance. To get a first idea, you can find an overview of all three days on our website here.

We highly encourage you to join as much of DTM as you can. If you are a founder or joiner, Deep Tech Momentum is designed to change the trajectory of your company/professional life. All three days are packed with invaluable workshops, speakers, and networking opportunities. 

If there are conflicts or meetings that interfere with an event at Deep Tech Momentum, please let us know.There are several key events at DTM like Mentor Madness that are organized based on who is attending, so email us at info@deeptech.build if you cannot join the full schedule.

All three days of Deep Tech Momentum are taking place at Neuköllnische Allee 60, 12057 Berlin. The nearest S Bahn station is Köllnische Heide, and several bus stations are within 5 minutes walking distance. 

Deep Tech Momentum will take place from May 14-16th 2024. 

We recommend participants arrive and be present at the event location on Day 1, Tuesday, May 14th for the Welcome & Kick-off at 10AM.

Days 1 & 2 have full-day programming from 9:30AM-8PM. Day 3, Thursday, May 16th, is the Pitch Competition that will last from 9:30-16:00PM.

If you are traveling from outside of Berlin, we recommend planning your arrival in Berlin the evening before the event (May 13th) and your departure after lunch on Day 3 (May 16th). If you would like to enjoy a weekend in Berlin, we highly recommend extending your stay!

From Berlin HBf it takes approximately 40 minutes to reach the venue by public transportation. Berlin has a good public transport system, although the event location is not directly connected to a main transit route. You can see what transport works best with your accommodation’s location with Google Maps or BVG. We recommend taking a taxi or rideshare from the nearest S Bahn station to the venue or finding a connecting bus route. 

Please note, there is no parking available on site and street parking is limited in the area.

We are searching for Deep Tech enthusiasts with backgrounds in tech, science or business. As a Joiner, you should be looking to join an existing Deep Tech founding team and be ready for a full-time commitment in the European Deep Tech ecosystem. Prospective Joiners should fill out the application form here.

Joiners can attend all of the workshops, panels, and keynotes happening at Deep Tech Momentum along with informal networking and social events. Joiners are key participants in the matching event where they will have the chance to meet startups looking to hire.

We strongly recommend joining DTM with your entire founding team, as this will massively increase the chance of fundraising, multiply the number of workshops you can attend, and maximize the mentors and talent you can meet.

Start-ups participating at Deep Tech Momentum should be incorporated or in the process of incorporating.

While we welcome teams that are still looking for a potential co-founder, this is not a requirement. Our joiner match-making session will provide you with the opportunity to not only match with potential co-founders but also potential employees or simply sparring partners for your ideas.

As a founder at DTM, you are guaranteed stage time to pitch on the final day of Deep Tech Momentum in our pitch competition! Each startup will have the opportunity to pitch in front of a jury of investors looking to give out a variety of investment prizes from direct investment to a fast track to investment committee.

There will be an app available prior to the event so you can see who else will be attending DTM. There are structured events for startups to “speed date” with potential mentors, investors, and talent that do not require pre-planning. Each day will also include time and activities for informal networking when ad hoc meetings can be arranged. We recommend reaching out to your network to let them know you will be at Deep Tech Momentum!

Unfortunately, the tickets are non-refundable. If you can find someone who can attend the event instead of you, it’s possible to transfer the ticket to another person as long as the change has been at least 10 days before the event. In this instance please email miranda.johnson@techstarsassociates.com. Please note that this person must have also passed the selection process.
